The Payment Card Industry Self Assessment Questionnaire (PCI SAQ) is a validation tool that outlines the necessary requirements for merchants and service providers to demonstrate compliance with the PCI Data Security Standard.
The Standard consists of 12 core requirements that expanded out into roughly 250 individual controls. The Council initially only offered a one size fits all version. In February 2008, they introduced 4 different versions to accommodate the unique needs of various merchant types.
Because our solutions entirely eliminate the handling, processing and storage of credit card data – merchants qualify for the SAQ A. With our solutions implemented, the number of required controls can be reduced to as few as 20 from the standard 250.
