The page where customers enter their payment information must include the following:
- SSL certificate active
- The dba is the most prominent company name on the page
- The site is completely developed and active
- A customer service email address or phone number listed or linked
- Delivery method and timing clear
- Products listed with price
- Refund policy text or linked
- Privacy statement text or linked
The payment page can be placed on a development URL until your processing is set up and the site is ready to go live. Include with your application the URL for this payment page along with log in credentials for a demo account, if required to run through the process.

To obtain a merchant account and use Braintree’s payment gateway, a merchant must have a tax ID number, U.S. address, and U.S. bank account. Exceptions are available in some situations for enterprise level merchants.
