Join the Conversation: Introducing Braintree_Talks

At Braintree, our core mission has always been to help developers, entrepreneurs, and innovators thrive. One way we do that is with the unique ways we bring the tech community together through common interests and needs -- from engaging with startups in their infancy through mentoring programs, to igniting new ideas and livelihoods through Battlehacks around the world, to working side-by-side with merchants as they integrate payments into their app or website. We’re proud of our products and programs such as Startup Blueprint which has contributed to the success and growth of thousands of startups. Our next step on this journey is to host an industry event that pulls all the pieces together with an exciting new global program -- Braintree_Talks.

Braintree_Talks brings together developers, entrepreneurs, and industry thought leaders in one room for a night to connect, ask questions, and share stories. With Braintree_Talks, we invite industry experts from all over the world to share how they make things work in their unique environments with the goal of fostering honest and engaging conversations applicable to people’s lives and careers, no matter where they are in their professional journey.

To kick it all off, we’re launching talks in London on October 1st with Harper Reed. Harper is not only a champion of disruptive startups, he’s also a political game-changer, acting as the CTO of Obama for America during the President’s second run for office. Harper’s most recent startup, Modest, was acquired by PayPal/Braintree a mere month ago. Harper will share his talk: Code. Ship. Repeat. From Startups to the White House and Back.

You can find all the details on our London event here.

Future Braintree_Talks cities will include Sydney, New York, and more.

Let us know what you’d like to see in this series in the comments or by tweeting @braintree and tagging #BTtalks.
