Magento Commerce and Braintree Join Forces to Upgrade Merchant Experience

Continuing their longstanding partnership, Magento Commerce and Braintree have teamed up to launch a new extension for Braintree’s v.zero SDK. The updated extension connects a merchant’s Magento store to Braintree’s payments processing power more seamlessly than ever before with minimal integration work.

By using Braintree, Magento merchants are positioned to be able to increase sales by providing a more seamless customer experience. The extension also allows merchants to accept PayPal as a payment option, giving them access to over 170 million active PayPal users worldwide. This is a feature not available with any other payment processor.

Thrive Market launched with Braintree and Magento in October of 2014, and has grown by leaps and bounds since then. Thrive chose to work with Braintree and Magento because they needed a fully functional ecommerce site to be up and running in just weeks. “We needed something that was robust and flexible enough to scale with us,” said Thrive Market CTO and Co-Founder Sasha Siddhartha.

Thrive recently upgraded to the new version of the Magento/Braintree v.zero extension and Siddhartha said the speed to launch, ability to customize and flexibility are the three main factors that make it a great fit. Siddartha mentioned competitors Thrive evaluated had “clunky, rudimentary interfaces that were not the right fit for Thrive’s customers.”
